Blend of Terroir is a selections that reflect the essence of the vineyard in Altamira, Valle de Uco. This wine has it's unique style with very intense mineral characteristics which show the attributes of the best terroir of Argentina. Marcelo Pelleriti is a rock star producer and winemaker in Mendoza, but became a renowned winemaker in the world of wine, when in 2013  he achieved what many has dreamed of, becoming the first Latin American winemaker to ever get a 100 point score from the leading wine world critic Robert Parker. The perfect score for a wine he created in France. Pelleriti Selection is made with handpicked grapes from 50 year old, low yielding vines. This wine promises to represent Marcelo's dedication and passion, and will continue to develop with time, to reach it's full potential. This Selection is a blend of 70% Malbec, 20% Petite Verdot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 20 months in new French barriques. The nose is generous with complex aromas of ripe red fruit. Very well balanced. The palate is full-body and structured, showing  long finish. The pieces are all there, they just need a little time to fully integrate.  Certainly delicious now, this will be even better after a year or two in the cellar (if you can wait that long!).  decanted for 1 hour , serve between 14º-16° C (57-61°F)
Award 94 points James Suckling
