Marcelo Pelleriti Malbec Reserva - Malbec
World-renowned winemaker
Marcelo Pelleriti splits his time between Argentina and France, trying to
achieve wine making excellence in both countries. Marcelo started making wine
since he was a young child with his grandfather in the family farm located in
the Uco Valley, Mendoza, that are now 110 years of antiquity. Precisely in this
finca Marcelo elaborated his first Marcelo Pelleriti Wine in 1994. Emerging as
a private enterprise, eager to share his vision and interpretation of his
native terroir with the world and inspired by the qualities of the wines that
had left a mark on him along the way.
Here we are in the foothills of the Andes at 1,000 m altitude, and the
alluvial soils and irrigation by pure melt water bestow a freshness and finesse
on his wines. The terroir of the region is evident with in the quality and
character of the wine, a unique character that cannot be found anywhere else in
the world. Some of the best wines in Argentina are produced in this region.
This intense Malbec displays deep red color with purple glints. Its aroma is
complex with notes of red fruit, such as plum, mingled with spices. A delicate
wine on the palate, with round tannins. Elegant and persistent. Marcelo is proud enough to put his own name
on it! Grapes are
hand-picking, aged 12 months in French oak barrels, 6-month bottle storage.
Serve between 14°-16° C (57-61°F)
