Abremundos is a project born of two spirits moved by intertwined passions: music and wine. Marcelo Pelleriti, winemaker and musician. Pedro Aznar, musician and sommelier. Together they are motivated in reaching the balance of silky and crystalline music notes for their wines. The vineyard is inside The Vines of Mendoza, in the Barrio de los Enólogos, located in Valle de Uco. The terroir of the region is made of loam soil of alluvial origin - poor and rocky – quality and character ideal for premium wines. This beautiful Bordeaux-inspired wine is a blend of 80% Malbec and 20% Cabernet Franc. With superb nose of blackberry, mineral, and dried stones. Full body, fine tannins and wonderful texture. A wine with finesse and beauty yet so much intensity. Very sophisticated, yet a complete crowd pleaser.
This blend is best enjoyed over a grass-fed sirloin steak, smoked with apple-tree wood, and served with portobello mushrooms, rosemary and a pinch of sea-salt. But also works well with game, poultry, lamb, pork, pasta and hard cheeses. Vineyard located at altitude 1100 meters above sea level. (3,600 ft). Harvest by hand in small plastic 12kg containers. Aged 18 months in French barrels, 6 months’ bottle aging. Serve between 14-16° C (57-61°F).
