Rutini’s history starts in 1885, when Felipe Rutini, an Italian immigrant who came from a family dedicated to winemaking, immigrated from his home town Ascoli Pisceno, from Italy. His first winery he called "La Rural", build in Maipú, Mendoza. Rutini is not a small player, besides their own 400 hectares’ vineyards, they rely on further 1,100 hectares from associated grape producers. Their yearly output is 13 million bottles. Rutini is committed to outstanding quality, consistency and excellence. They produce wines with Argentine personality. This Rutini Coleccion, a 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, is well-recognized for its remarkable quality, its aristocratic style and it’s timeless traditional Rutini label. This brilliant Cab represents the true richness of the Uco Valley. It is made with aromatic complexity and structure, bringing great identity to the brand. On the nose, it is fruity, with notes of plum, vanilla and anise. While in the mouth taste of ripe fruits with rich spices such as vanilla & chocolate, imparted by oak. Great structure and smooth friendly tannins, with a prolonged finish, highlight its personality. Winemaker: Mariano Di Paola. Aged 12 months in 50% new French oak & 50% new American oak.
