Durigutti Cabernet Franc 2017 - Cabernet Franc
This is a blend of CF from 2 different terroir: 70% Agrelo - 30% La Consulta . This is very floral and inviting on the nose with notes of rosemary, violets, lavender, citrus, orange peel and boysenberries, as well as lots of spicy undertones. Full-bodied and really seductive with tightly-wound, grainy tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, succulent finish. -James Suckling.
This Cabernet Frank comes from old vines in La Consulta and Agrelo – Both vineyards used have terrific exposure to the delight of those who prefer a more forward style of Cabernet Franc – Think layers of peppery blue fruit and zero “green” flavors. The wine is unfiltered and is not stabilized to preserve the natural characteristics of the grape. Can contain solid deposits at the bottom. Pairs really well with smoked filet mignon with malbec caramelized onions and grilled peppers. Aged for 12 months in French oak 70% and American 30%. Recommended serving temperature 16 -18° C (60 - 64 ºF)
