The Rutini history can be traced back to the 19th century in Italy before they settled in Maipu, one of the classic places for wine production in Mendoza. They now produce up to 19 million liters of wine per year. The Rutini Collection, is a premium range of single varietals & bi-varietals from our own vineyards in The Uco Valley (Tupungato, Altamira & La Consulta). This range is well recognized for its remarkable quality and distribution in Argentina and abroad. Its aristocratic style is made with aromatic complexity and structure, bringing great identity to the brand. Its savoir-faire and loyalty to classic French winemaking style are the essential aspects of the artisanal production of the varietals of this range. These qualities have given the brand a preferential place among consumers that appreciate the aromatic complexity and refined style of these wines. This range displays our most emblematic label, which has given Rutini Wines a strong brand positioning. In the public imagination, Rutini is synonymous with treasured collection. This is the most listed wine in Argentine restaurants, leading the market since 1994. The Rutini Merlot Collection is a very silky ripe and fascinating Merlot from Tupungato. It is a wine of intense red color, with violet reflections with enough ripeness and freshness. The nose proffers aromas of red fruit and jam, accompanied with notes of vanilla imparted by contact with new oak and a medium to full-bodied palate keeping the balance with fair freshness. On the palate this wine is smooth and with a prolonged, silky finish. It has the personality of a genuine classic, a wine to last. Overall a joy and not as potent as it's Malbec brother. Merlot goes great with white and dark meats from chicken, turkey and pork, as well as weeknight pasta, burgers, and pizza. Try it out!!
