The world’s most popular red wine grape is a natural
cross between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. This "king of reds"
original from Bordeaux has proved a happy émigré to Mendoza, Argentina. And
like Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon has taken to the high altitudes, ample sun and
rocky soils with gusto, producing similarly aromatic and generous wines, packed
with ample fruit and spicy notes, well-structured yet drinking well when relatively
young. Las Perdices CS has a deep ruby color with rich cherry aromas, subtle
pepper notes and soft oak touches. Plum, cassis and herbal notes are true
varietal flavors, while this dries out on a gentle tannic finish. Just a
perfect partner to rich grilled meats, pasta, fish and white meat with spiced
sauces. Recommended serving temperature 16-18° C (60 – 64 ºF). Aged 8 months in
French and American oak barrels.
