Marcelo Pelleriti Cabernet Sauvignon Reserva 2015
Argentine Cabernet
Sauvignon will soon take over the global scene, due to its excellent
price/quality ratio. Pelleriti's vineyards are located in Valle de Uco,
Mendoza, at an altitude above 1000 m, where they enjoy warm, dry climate
conducing the grapes to achieve great results with an intense, voluptuous
style, good body and structure. The geographical conditions cause the vines to
mature more slowly with a refreshing natural acidity, a typical special
character of the wines of this area. All Pelleriti wines are made respecting
the great wine tradition: manual harvests, lack of fertilizers and, above all,
transport of the grape by gravity. This elegant Cabernet features a bright
melody of deep ruby red cherries, rising above a backdrop of leather hues.
Strong notes of red and dark fruit, with subtle spicy and cocoa aromas on the
nose. On the palate it is balanced and fresh, with soft tannins. An elegant and
complex wine. The classic pairing with Cabernet is lamb, but it goes well with
almost any meat—beef, pork, venison, pastas stuffed with sauces, stews or even
rabbit. Enjoy this Cab with grilled rib eye, portabella mushrooms and hearty
meat dishes. The grapes are hand-picked. Aging process: 50% ages in French oak
barrels for 12 months 6-month bottle storage. Serve between 14°-16° C (57-61°F)
